Sure growth in numbers may be a result of strong marketing strategies (branding, targeted demographics, etc.), that's one reason the numbers don't tell the whole story. I would suggest looking at other data along growth trends to indicate whether a ministry is successful. Depending on the ministry, these questions may be something like these: Are lives being changed? Are marriages being healed? Are the poor being cared for?

I would also consider context. A church in Dallas, Texas is not "more successful" than an a house church in China.Gabe Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08995944195009706758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1200144021279244719.post-56532974116934601322010-09-28T05:46:51.700-05:002010-09-28T05:46:51.700-05:00Thay is a great post Gabe.....a heart of service i...Thay is a great post Gabe.....a heart of service is what we are taught by our Father God....feed the poeple and they will come!Patti Ann Ridgwaynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1200144021279244719.post-46654398761782274802010-09-28T03:56:14.825-05:002010-09-28T03:56:14.825-05:00They weren't all fishermen.......They weren't all fishermen.......Viking Rootshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15478039043801175071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1200144021279244719.post-21294694666088259352010-09-28T02:30:08.528-05:002010-09-28T02:30:08.528-05:00A Loaded question but numbers do matter in ministr...A Loaded question but numbers do matter in ministry; however, I'm not sure what the numbers convey?! Is it an indicator of success (whatever that means)? Good marketing? Good niche? Right demographics? etc., or in the case of bad or low numbers, bad marketing, etc.?Marcus Graddynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1200144021279244719.post-11488668815176004962010-09-28T02:03:15.457-05:002010-09-28T02:03:15.457-05:00Thank you for sharing , a great post... and Jesus ...Thank you for sharing , a great post... and Jesus added to their numbers daily...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1200144021279244719.post-71255227394454712842010-09-28T01:00:20.735-05:002010-09-28T01:00:20.735-05:00Great post Gabe!Great post Gabe!Mark Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01640174650561361363noreply@blogger.com
